Happy Thanksgiving!  We were very excited to share the holiday with Apryl, Adam, and Graham and Connor's sister from another mister, baby Hazel.  Hazel took it upon herself to teach Connor to clap today--thanks for sharing your tricks, little lady!  Now, if you could just get him crawling….

We have so many shiny new things to be thankful for this year (baby, home, job for Will), but are most grateful to have our steadfast friends and family to share them with us.

While at the amazing new "natural playground" at Prospect Park today, we suddenly heard a strange sound and, after awhile, realized it was hailing the tiniest hail imaginable.  After doing some hail-hunting, we decided we should probably head inside.

Having mastered tummy time, Connor is on to new challenges.

Graham was excited to go over to Zoey's house for brunch this morning.  He gave her some tips on solving the shape sorter and learned about a wonderful new food called munchkins.

7 months in, Connor finally got the memo about the whole "sleeping like a baby" thing.

Happy belated birthday, Granddad!  Today, Connor tried on some of his uncles' baby clothes for size and Sam and Graham had a dinner/bath/storytime date.  Graham kept asking for Sam to sleep at our house, but I don't think we're to the sleepover stage quite yet.

Happy birthday Molly!  We can't wait for the first cousin get-together next month!

Bath time is the best part of Graham and Connor's day.  Lots of splashing, games of tug-o-war, and belly laughs.

Connor had his belated 6-month appointment at the pediatrician last week.  As of November 13, he was a string bean (26" long, 83%, and 17 lb, 27%) with a biggish head (45 cm, 72%).  He has had a great past week of sleep, sleeping through the night most nights (7:30 pm - 6 am or so) and taking 2 naps per day.  We really hope this sleep break-through sticks around and attribute it to his new, quiet room where he always sleeps in the crib (rather than the swing, which we gave away lest we be tempted to use it anymore).  We offer Connor 1-2 "meals" of solids every day (he's had sweet potatoes, butternut squash, avocado, brown rice, apples, pears, and bananas), but he hasn't really taken to them and is a much bigger fan of nursing.  He is a very solid sitter and can hold himself up on all-fours.  He rocks but hasn't made any attempts at crawling yet.  He occasionally rolls from front to back but hasn't rolled from back to front.  He just cut his second tooth.  He thinks Graham is hilarious and is a very good sport about being dragged to all of Graham's playdates and park excursions.

We are now a 15 minute walk from the Prospect Park Zoo!  We arrived just in time to watch the sea lion show, complete with a new sea lion pup, fed the sheep, pretended to be spiders, and headed home in time for naps.

Graham and Connor had a dance party to the Velvet Underground.  Daddy managed to keep his face intact, but just barely.

Graham enjoyed his very first campfire at Phoebe's daddy's birthday party.  Too bad we had to leave before s'more time.

Everyone knows who sits at the head of our table.

Graham, Connor, and I watched a beautiful pink sunset from Prospect Park this afternoon.

In anticipation of this weekend's family photo shoot, Graham got his first haircut at a real barber shop.  Perhaps not surprisingly, people who focus on cutting hair rather than entertaining children are better at cutting hair.  Graham did a great job.  The only thing he resisted was the hairdryer, which isn't all that important anyway when you have 2 inches of hair.

Connor cut his first tooth today!  It's invisible to the naked eye but sharp and easy to feel when he gnaws on your finger!

The best thing about our new house is that it is 2 blocks from Prospect Park.  Graham and Connor's backyard just grew to 585 acres.

Graham was very excited to meet up with Ellie at the playground for some fall fun in the leaf piles.  Meanwhile, Connor tried to eat all the leaves.

NYC Marathon!  We were somehow magically able to watch the start on TV, walk to 4th Avenue to watch the leaders run by, 7 miles into their run, cheer on the runners for awhile, get bagels, and walk home in time to watch the leaders finish the race.

Grammy heads home tomorrow after winning the MVP award for our move.  Thank you so much!  We sincerely could not have done it without you.
