89 weeks, 5 days.

Max had a packed afternoon on Halloween--our second neighborhood parade, a party with his friends, and his first trick-or-treating (both giving and receiving). Graham's favorite part was giving out candy to the neighborhood kids. He chased kids down the street to given them seconds. He doesn't know what candy is yet (probably the last year that will be true!) and kept trying to give back the candy he was given when he trick-or-treated.

We took a post-Sandy walk to the promenade to see how the city was doing (not great--our thoughts are going out to the people affected by the storm). I think Graham is asking why all those people are blocking his view.

89 weeks, 3 days.

After drawing some pictures as Max in the morning, Graham went for a pre-Sandy stroll around the block. Playgroup was just around the corner, so we were able to venture out and avoid cabin fever. We feel very lucky to be ready for the hurricane, have Will home and get to enjoy the afternoon with good friends.

Graham spent a long time today marking each rail of the fence with chalk.

Graham and I had a lunch date at Shake Shack and then went home, where he charmed a pumpkin out of a neighbor.

Graham is a little overwhelmed by his new music class, but he does love the puppets.

Graham really likes to tackle people right now. He also loves Halloween and has picked up some good new vocabulary words--pumpkin, ghost, and mummy.

87 weeks, 3 days.

During a stroll down the promenade today, Graham ignored the skyline and focused on the bulldozers and excavators working on the new waterfront park.

Daddy and Graham played with playdough before the Eagles game today. Fly, Eagles, Fly! Thanks for the sweatshirt, Nana! Graham is practicing saying "touchdown" and "Go Birds!"

87 weeks, 1 day.

Pumpkin fest! Graham chose a pumpkin, had a dance party with his friends, ate a pretzel and a hot dog, and went on his first pony ride (this "pony" was more of a horse, though!).

Happy 1 and 3/4 birthday, Graham! He celebrated by attempting to give Marlon a hat.

Graham and Bennett see-sawed at the park this afternoon. They can keep themselves going now.

Graham is turning into a monkey. He climbed this ladder all by himself today!

Sunday, October 7, 2012

86 weeks, 2 days.

Graham practiced his "Dirty Dancing" lift move with Daddy before watching a fireworks show after his bath. He loved the "colors."

Friday, October 5, 2012

On a 79 degree October day, Graham and I biked to Jane's Carousel, where Graham rode the horses, made horse sounds, and talked about horse teeth, eyes and tails all afternoon long.

85 weeks, 6 days.

Graham had too much fun in tonight's bath to get out, even after all the water was gone. Now that he's used up all of his bath crayons, his favorite activity is the "frog swim," in which he lays on his back and says "ribbit" while I push him up and down the tub with his feet in a froggy position.

85 weeks, 4 days.

Sam's mom Aislinn and I have started having semiweekly drop-off playdates (aka, mom's afternoon off) for Sam and Graham. During today's playdate, the boys spent nearly an hour at the sink, working up an appetite for their dinner date. Graham loves Sam and woke up from his nap today asking for him.

Short sleeves in October. We're having a beautiful Indian summer.
