Graham and Connor wrapped up a great Saturday with Nana by taking a group bath.  While Nana babysat Connor (his first sitter!), Will & I went open housing and had a very indulgent drink by ourselves.  Thanks Nana!

Connor went to his 2-month well-baby check-up today.  He's doing great--23.5" (63%), 12 lb, 4 oz (55%), with a head circumference of 40.0 cm (44%).  He was not very excited about his 5 (!) shots, but he toughed it out.  Oh, and Graham did his first poo-poo on the go, at the doctor's office!

Graham helped Connor with his turn on the stethoscope.  Thanks for the doctor kit, Molly!  And thanks for the jam-jams, Granny Annie, and the onesie, Nana!

Note the underpants on Graham!  We're testing the potty training waters this week.

The best thing that came out of a long afternoon of open housing was a trip to the new Dinosaur BBQ (it's no 3 bedroom with W/D and outdoor space but still a pretty good thing).

Sick day #2 for Graham.  Meanwhile, Connor discovered that he can grip!

Poor Graham hosted playgroup this morning and was extremely unpleasant, which I assumed was angst over sharing until we took a break in his room and he fell asleep while snuggling.  He's running a low fever and not eating.  Ever since his friends left, however, he's been in a great mood--being sick means juice boxes! movies! no bedtime!--so I don't feel too badly for him.

Graham loves "making funny faces at Connor" to make him smile.  Knock on wood, Connor seems to have turned a corner on the 6 week fussies and has been very smiley all week.

Happy Father's Day, Will!  We all love you so much.

Daddy and the boys watched the US Open this afternoon before we got lobster rolls and cake for a father's day treat.

Graham has started saying "I" rather than "Graham," typically as in, "I want it!" or "I need it!"  He also has started telling certain stories over and over as a stall tactic.  One of the best is his retelling of a trip he and Will took to Shake Shack last week.  The sweetest is how he confirms that Mama and Daddy love Graham SO much every night.

Graham "painted hallways" on our front stoop this afternoon using water and a paintbrush (a few weeks ago, our hallways were painted and that seems to have made an impression on him).

Graham has started telling me that he isn't available to do certain things (change diaper, eat dinner) because he is "busy," as in, "Graham busy!  Doing stickers!"

The double stroller on its maiden voyage!  Connor didn't care for it, but perked up once taken out to help Graham with some playground art.

Thanks for the outfit, Grammy!  It's one of Graham's very favorites.

The pop-up pianos have returned!  This is an art installation done in NYC for the past few summers.  88 decorated pianos were scattered around city parks and will be here for playing or pounding, as the case may be, for the next couple weeks.

Thanks for the swim trunks, Grammy!  Graham loves them!

Graham loves to encourage Connor during tummy time (when he isn't being a menace, demonstrating rolling with no awareness of where his body is going).

2 years, 3 months/6 weeks, 6 days.

This is a picture Graham drew of Dorothy (blue) and Scarecrow (brown) from The Wizard of Oz.  As Graham was drawing, he told me what he was adding--hair, eyes, mouth, etc.--and, while they may not be completely identifiable as such, he drew them in the right order/location.  Dorothy's shoes are in brown, so Graham still has a little work to do before getting the likenesses exactly right.

Graham and Annika met up for a concert at the Brooklyn central library and then a trip to Prospect Park, where they were mistaken for twins, which isn't a huge stretch.

Connor snoozed his way through an outdoor playgroup today while Graham swung on the big boy swings with Daddy.

2 years, 3 months/6 weeks, 3 days.

In an amazing turn of events, Connor rolled over for the first time today!  And then he did it again!  And again!  Graham wanted his own tummy time mat to demonstrate correct tummy time position to Connor.

Today, Graham and Sam conquered the slides at the playground while Connor practiced his big crooked smile.

Busy summer days make for (hopefully) sleepy nights.

The sweetest part of Connor "waking up" and responding to people is watching him and Graham interact.  Graham loves taking baths with Connor (and not only because he gets to use Connor's froggie sponge when Connor's out of the tub).
