Happy first birthday, Izzy!  Graham loved turning into Batman and couldn't get enough of checking himself out.  Meanwhile, a very precocious little monkey climbed his first tree.

Connor was excited to show Nana his happy apple (thanks Grammy!) this morning before Nana had to hit the road.

Connor practiced sitting with his treetop friends before Nana arrived to take care of the boys while Will and I went to a wedding this evening.  She came bearing Cap'n Crunch for Graham (not that he needs a treat to be excited to see Nana) but unfortunately, no-nap Connor is not as easily bribed.

Thank you so much for babysitting, Nana!  We had a great time on our night out and can't imagine entrusting this duo to anyone other than you and Grammy right now--what a huge help.

Graham and Noah played together at our favorite playground.  Graham is starting to prefer playing with his friends over playing with us.  Noah is a particularly great playmate since he is always up for whatever game Graham announces he would like to play--pretend ice cream stand, leaf collecting, hide & seek, etc.

Connor met up with his pals Charlotte and Ian this afternoon.  Connor was caught with his hand in the cookie jar.  Too forward, Connor!

Playdate with Eric and Ian!  The soft spot was an oasis of relative calm with the two toddlers charging around the rest of the apartment.

Happy birthday Daddy!!!  Graham wanted to hold Connor before his first first day of school.  He was very excited to bring his new Toy Story lunch box and was fine with me leaving, although his teacher reported that he was sad for a few minutes when he realized I was actually gone.  He sang the entire ABC song for the first time when I asked him if he had learned any letters at school today, so apparently his teachers know what they're doing.

Granny Annie and Papa O'Brien came to visit and meet baby Connor!  Meanwhile, Graham replicated an experience from Will's childhood and ate Booberry cereal at Nana's house.

It was great to see you, O'Briens, and we're so glad that you, Graham, and Will crossed paths for a few minutes.  Graham sends a fist bump with stars your way!

Happy birthday Nana!!!  Graham and Daddy drove to Philly this morning to celebrate with Nana.  I'm sorry that Connor and I couldn't make it down for the party, although I think Connor enjoyed his day of being an only child.

Happy birthday Grammy!!!  Connor was so excited, he rolled over for the first time since he was 6 weeks old!

Sam and Graham are alllllllllmost big enough to use the drinking fountain on their own.

Time for a new 'do!  At the rate he's going, Connor won't need his first trim until 2015.

We snuck in a quick trip to Coney Island on Labor Day before the summer got away from us.  The aquarium, Nathan's hot dogs, ice cream cones and the surf.    Graham spent every minute at the beach throwing sand into the water.  Connor touched the Atlantic for the first time.
